The Perfect Mistake - Story

My mother's father worked as a carpenter. On this particular day, he was building some crates for the clothes his church was sending to orphanages in China. On his way home, he reached into his shirt pocket to find his glasses, but they were gone. When he mentally replayed his earlier actions, he realized what had happened. The glasses had slipped out of his pocket unnoticed and fallen into one of the crates, which he had nailed shut. His brand new glasses were heading for China!

Think About It!!!!

Think About It!!!! This is soooooooo true

Thought provoking stuff.....!!!!

1. Isn't it strange how a R20
Seems like such a large amount when
You donate it to church, but
Such a small amount
When you go shopping?

2. Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when
You're at church, and how
Short they seem when you're
Watching a good movie?

3. Isn't it strange that you can't
Find a word to say when
You're praying,
But you have no trouble
Thinking what to talk about

4. Isn't it strange how difficult
And boring it is to read
One chapter
Of the Bible, but how easy
It is to read 100 pages of
A popular novel or ZANE GREY book?

5. Isn't it strange how everyone
Wants front-row-tickets
To concerts or
Games, but they do whatever
Is possible to sit at the last
Row in Church?

6. Isn't it strange how we need to
Know about an event for Church 2-3
Weeks before the day so we can
Include it in our agenda, but we can
Adjust it for other events at
The last minute?

7. Isn't it strange how difficult it
Is to learn a fact about God to share it
With others, but how easy
It is to learn, understand,
Extend and repeat gossip?

8. Isn't it strange how we
Believe everything That magazines and newspapers
Say, but we question the words in the
Bible?

9. Isn't it strange how everyone
Wants a place in
Heaven, but they don't want
To believe, do, or say anything
To get there?

10. Isn't it strange how we send
Jokes in e-mails and they
Are forwarded right away,
But when we are going to send
Messages about God, we think
About it twice before we share
It with others?

IT'S STRANGE ISN'T IT?

John 3:16 ( The Story)

In the city of Chicago, one cold, dark night, a blizzard was setting in. A little boy was selling newspapers on the corner, the people were in and out of the cold. The little boy was so cold that he wasn't trying to sell many papers.

He walked up to a policeman and said, "Mister, you wouldn't happen to know where a poor boy could find a warm place to sleep tonight would you? You see, I sleep in a box up around the corner there and down the alley and it's awful cold in there for tonight. Sure would be nice to have a warm place to stay,"

The policeman looked down at the little boy and said, "you go down the street to that big white house and you knock on the door. When they come out the door you just say John 3:16, and they will let you in."

Keeper of the Spring

Keeper of the Spring

The late Peter Marshall, an eloquent speaker and for several years the chaplain of the United States Senate, used to love to tell the story of "The Keeper of the Spring," a quiet forest dweller who lived high above an Austrian village along the eastern slopes of the Alps.
